Biography

Geelong’s Cast Iron Piñata have been hailed as rising stars, kicking out their Funk - Fused Rock. The young band who initially met in high school has been going from strength to strength since the release of the debut EP ‘Rock / Funk / Awesome’ in early 2010, which has brought upon airplay on various Radio Stations including: Triple M & K-Rock.

Cast Iron Piñata’s sound has a strong influence of 60’s and 70’s Hard Rock including the likes of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purle and Jimi Hendrix combined with Red Hot Chili Peppers funk, Mars Volta experimentation and the hard-hitting power of Foo Fighters or Audioslave.

 

Cast Iron Piñata have shared the stage with some of Australia’s best bands as well as artists from abroad, including: British India, You Am I, The Screaming Jets, Electric Mary, Kevin & Lucius Borich (Cog), Colin Hay (Men at Work), and Lord Bishop Rocks (USA/Germany).
